# Limitations and Deadlines

This is readable directly without a skill loader. Use the GET routes at https://implausible.enterprises/projects/law-library/for-llms.txt.

## Statute of limitations

Identify the claim, governing substantive law, forum, limitations period, accrual rule, triggering facts, tolling, repose, notice prerequisites, special claimant/defendant rules, and retroactivity. Retrieve the limitations statute and its cross-references. Search cases separately for accrual and tolling. State the period and trigger separately; give a date only when the triggering facts are known. Treat statutes of repose and claim-specific periods as independent traps.

## Procedural deadlines

Retrieve and open the statewide or federal rule, the relevant local rule, and any order that changes the default. Identify the trigger, count, calendar-day/court-day convention, service adjustment, weekend/holiday rule, extension authority, and consequence of default.

The public GET layer retrieves rules but does not expose Law Tools' deterministic date calculator. Do not present a hand-computed dispositive date as verified. Provide the formula, inputs, provisional calculation if useful, and a clear instruction to confirm it in an independent docketing system.

## Stop and output

Stop once the controlling text, trigger, exceptions, and material interpretive authority are retrieved. Lead with the earliest critical period or deadline; give 1–3 controlling authorities; distinguish computed, provisional, and unknown dates; list missing facts and unsupported propositions.
